Wanted man found in Elk Point
RCMP have located and arrested wanted man Kristopher Funk. Funk was wanted on 28 offenses and has been remanded into custody.
On November 20, 2018, members of the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) located a male in Elk Point wanted on several outstanding warrants from the Vegreville, Bonnyville, and St Paul areas. During the arrest, the male tried to discard a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine, which was seized by RCMP members.
Kristopher Funk (37) of St Paul was arrested for his outstanding warrants; which included possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Funk was also wanted for seven counts of failing to comply with a recognizance and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He is also facing new charges of possession of a controlled substance and failing to comply with conditions of a recognizance as a result of his arrest.
Funk was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on November 22, 2018 in St Paul.
