Over $8000 of fuel stolen and property damage leaves Elk Point RCMP asking for information

Elk Point RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance for information related to a fuel theft from a sand and gravel pit east of Elk Point, near Highway 646 and Range Road 62 sometime between Nov. 17-19.

On Nov. 19, Elk Point RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter, mischief, and theft from the sand and gravel pit site.

Employees entered the work site to find locks broken and trailers rummaged through.

Some of the items stolen from the worksite include: air compressor hoses, electric heater, fuel pump hose and nozzle, generator, cases of oil, tools, and 2000 litres of fuel.

The approximate value of total damage and stolen property is $8400.00.
