McEvoy announces retirement; Melvin named as successor

The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority Board of Directors proudly announced the appointment of Jay Melvin as Regional Fire Chief effective December 1, 2018. Jay has been with the Regional Fire Authority since 2012 in the role of Regional Deputy Fire Chief.

The Board is confident that the professionalism, knowledge and experience that Jay has displayed in his prior role with the Authority will be continued in his new position.

Regional Fire Chief Brian McEvoy will be staying with the Authority until his retirement in February 2019. Brian will serve in an administrative role to aid in the transition.
