Charges Laid on Driver Who Left Collision Scene Wednesday

Emergency crews respond to the collision in front of the Bonnyville RCMP detachment Wednesday morning.

Bonnyville RCMP have laid charges on a driver of a cargo truck who ran after a collision at the 54 Ave at 46 St intersection late Wednesday morning.

RCMP found the driver shortly afterwards one kilometre north of the accident.

The 33 year old man from Edmonton has been charged with failure to remain at the scene of a collision, failure to stop at a stop sign, and failure to provide proof of insurance.

No major injuries resulted from the collision.

It happened just after 11:00 am in front of the RCMP detachment.
