St. Paul RCMP find drugs and weapons during traffic stop

An Elk Point man has been changed with multiple drug and weapon offenses following a traffic stop in St. Paul.

On the morning of October 3, 2018 St. Paul RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the Town of St. Paul for a passenger not wearing a seatbelt. After stopping the vehicle, police determined the driver of the vehicle was a suspended driver, and was breaching several conditions of a court order.

Police arrested and charged Kristopher Funk (37) of Elk Point, Alberta. Upon arrest, police located drugs and a weapon.

Funk’s charges include; Possession of methamphetamine, breach of recognizance (X5), possession of a weapon, and drive while unauthorized. Funk was released after a judicial hearing with conditions and will be appearing on October 25, 2018 in St. Paul Provincial Court.
