Kitscoty RCMP arrest two after suspicious vehicle reported

RCMP have arrested two men after an eye witness reported a suspicious vehicle. The men were allegedly found to be in possession of a stolen truck.

On Oct. 2, 2018 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Kitscoty RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Range Road 20 and Township Road 522.

A vehicle and witnesses advised the truck drove through a ditch and fence. Two suspects then fled the vehicle on foot.

Kitscoty RCMP along with Lloydminster RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) arrived on scene and the suspects were arrested a short time later. One suspect was transported to hospital for minor injuries and released back into police custody.

The vehicle was previously reported stolen from Lloydminster on Sept. 27, 2018.

Kyle Soosay (28) from Onion Lake, Saskatchewan has been charged with:

  • Resist arrest
  • Possession of stolen property over $5000
  • Breach of recognizance
  • Breach of probation

At the time of his arrest Soosay was wanted on three outstanding warrants.

He was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Lloydminster Provincial Court via CCTV on Oct. 9, 2018.

Alex Cardinal (28) from Frog Lake, Alberta has been charged with:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5000
  • Breach of recognizance

He was released from custody and will be appearing in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Oct. 23, 2018.
