Two Arrested, One Wanted in Chop Shop Bust

Bonnyville RCMP report that a tip from the public lead to the bust up of a chop shop and arrest of two individuals from Edmonton. An additional man, from Saddle Lake, is wanted in connection to the bust.

On Sept. 4, 2018 Bonnyville RCMP received a tip that a stolen vehicle was at a rural property in the Moose Lake area. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was executed at the property where police located a chop shop. Police also located a stolen vehicle that was in the process of being disassembled, approximately $5,000 in currency, steroids, marihuana, multiple prohibited weapons including a stun gun and brass knuckles.

Matt Dalton Iverson-Houle (19) of Edmonton was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  •  Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of a controlled substance

Megan Kristin Iverson-Houle (26) of Edmonton was also charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Fraudulent concealment
  • Tampering with vehicle identification number
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00 (x2)
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (x3)

Both were released with conditions and will be appearing in Bonnyville Provincial Court on Dec. 4, 2018.

An additional male, who was not located at the time of the search, is now wanted in connection to this incident. Allen Rodney Hunter (39) of Saddle Lake is wanted for eight Criminal Code offences.
