Three Saddle Lakers arrested after stolen vehicle from Mannville located

Three individuals from Saddle Lake have been charged after RCMP located a vehicle stolen from Mannville in Saddle Lake.

On Aug. 28, 2018, Vermilion RCMP Detachment received a report of a robbery and theft that had occurred at a local business in Mannville where a pickup truck was stolen. On Aug. 29, 2018, the Eastern Alberta Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) located the stolen vehicle at a residence in Saddle Lake First Nations. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested by police and a third suspect was also arrested a short time later inside the residence.

Adrian Lewis Cardinal (34) of Saddle Lake was charged with one count of robbery. He was remanded into custody and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Sept. 17, 2018.

A 42-year-old male and a 37-year-old female from Saddle Lake, are also facing charges for possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. They were both released and are scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Sept. 13, 2018.

“We will continue to collaborate with multiple detachments in tackling crimes committed by repeat offenders,” says Constable Guillaume Wilson, Eastern Alberta Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU). “Our intelligence gathering assists us in identifying and arresting those who continue to cause crime in different communities.”
