Two Females Arrested After Stealing RCMP Vehicle

Two females were arrested after stealing an RCMP bait vehicle, on Aug. 1.

They were found to have cannabis, hash, meth, and prescription drugs in their possession. Both women were on conditions from charges they were already facing.

31 year old, Danielle Wilkins from Cold Lake, and 30 year old, Traylene Whitstone from Cold Lake First Nations, were soon charged with a list of offenses.

Whitstone is charged with theft, breaching probation, (2x) breaching a recognizance, and not wearing a seatbelt.

Wilkins is charged with theft, drug related offenses, weapons offenses, distracted driving, unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, (4x) of breaching a recognizance, distracted driving, not wearing a sealtbelt, driving without a license, possession of a schedule one drug.

The RCMP gathered enough information to execute a search warrant the next day.

James Wilgus, 42, was charged with possession of property obtained through crime over $5000, possession of a weapon contrary to order. A warrant remains for his arrest.
