Cocaine and Meth seized; Two Charged

On July 20, 2018, Bonnyville General Investigative Section (GIS), with the assistance of ALERT, Cold Lake GIS and the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment executed a search warrant in Fort Kent in relation to a lengthy drug trafficking investigation.

Upon entry into the residence a male and female were arrested inside. Police searched the residence and were able locate quantities of a substance believed to be cocaine and methamphetamine, along with other drug paraphernalia indicative of drug trafficking.

Michael Lawrie Zuberbier (32) of Fort Kent, Alberta has been charged with six Criminal Code offences including:

  • Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
  • Trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine)
  • Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Failing to comply (X2)

He was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Bonnyville Provincial Court on July 24, 2018.

Kristina Mallory O’Connor (37) of Fort Kent, Alberta has been charged with six Criminal Code offences including:

  • Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine) (X3)
  • Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

She was released from custody with conditions and will be appearing in Bonnyville Provincial Court on July 24, 2018.
