Lac La Biche RCMP arrest five after robbery at gas station

In the early morning of June 27, 2018, Lac La Biche RCMP Detachment responded to a report of a robbery that took place at a gas station in Lac La Biche.  RCMP members conducted an initial investigation and were able to identify suspects in the robbery. The Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) were requested to assist with the investigation.

Through the intelligence gathering and teamwork between Lac La Biche RCMP and EAD RCRU, the stolen vehicle associated to the robbery was located and six suspects were arrested in Lac La Biche.  An “AR-15” style pellet gun was seized during this arrest.

Levi Cardinal (25), is being charged with the following offences:

  • Robbery
  • Uttering threats
  • Failing to comply with the conditions of a recognizance
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

He was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is July 9, 2018 in Lac La Biche Provincial Court.

Juston Boucher (25), Damion Quintal (33), Jodi-Lynn Cardinal (26), and Tiara Monias (19) are being charged with several criminal offences, including the following:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Failing to comply with conditions

Juston Boucher, Damion Quintal and Tiara Monias were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on July 9, 2018.

Jodi-Lynn Cardinal was released after a judicial hearing with court conditions and is set to appear in court in Lac La Biche on July 9, 2018.

Charges are currently pending for a third female in relation to this investigation.
