55 year old man dies in motor vehicle collision

Cold Lake RCMP Investigate Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision

One person has died following a single vehicle collision during the evening hours of June 3, 2018. The collision took place shortly after 9 p.m. on the Cold Lake First Nations. A north bound SUV lost control and rolled several times.

The 55 year old male passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the 28 year old male driver was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance and then to an Edmonton hospital with serious injuries. Both occupants of the vehicle were residents of the Cold Lake area.

No other vehicles were involved. All possible contributing factors related to this collision are being considered, and the collision remains under investigation.
