New Principal for Duclos School
Northern Lights Public Schools is pleased to announce that Jody Centazzo has been appointed as Principal of Duclos School in Bonnyville.
“During her time at Duclos, Jody has built strong relationships with staff, students and the community,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson. “She is focused on student success and fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, mentorship and modeling.”
Centazzo joined Northern Lights Public Schools and the team at Duclos School in 1996 as a Grade 4 teacher. Since then, she has served as the school’s Student Support Team (SST) Coordinator and Life Skills Teacher, and taught grades 1 and 3. She became
Assistant Principal in 2010. Centazzo is also an NLPS alumnus, having graduated from Bonnyville Centralized High School before pursuing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta.
“I have been blessed to call Duclos School home for many years. This is where my roots are and this is where my heart is,” said Centazzo. “The students here, the staff and the wonderful and supportive families and community members are why this school is so great! Duclos has a rich history and I look forward to continuing many of its long held traditions and starting some new ones.”
