The outdoor electronic sign at the Cold Lake Energy Centre will soon have a new look. At the March 27, 2018 Regular City of Cold Council Meeting, Glenn Barnes, General Manager Community Services for the City of Cold Lake explained, “It will have the same infrastructure, but be repainted and refurbished. It will be 2 ½ feet larger with better graphics, and the glass on the top is being replaced.”
Administration was recently quoted a price of $248,817.00 (which came in under the estimated cost of $300,000.00).
Portage College and Cold Lake High School (the partners for this project) will be invoiced for one third each of the cost.
Council passed a motion to increase the capital budget from $11,516,140 to $11,666,140 to include $150,000 for the sign.
