Cold Lake Man Charged With Attempted Murder
On March 24, 2018, at approximately 9 p.m., Cold Lake RCMP were called to a home invasion in Cold Lake. During the incident, the home owner was assaulted and sustained minor injuries, which required treatment in Hospital. The suspect and victim were known to each other.
Cold Lake RCMP have arrested and charged 61 year old Bruce Burke of Cold Lake with the following:

Attempted Murder.

Uttering Threats.

Assault x 2.

Assault With Weapon x 2.

Using an Imitation Firearm.

Pointing a Firearm x 2.

Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House.

Robbery With a Firearm.
-
Overcoming Resistance to Commission of an Offence.

Forcible Confinement.
-
Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Pursued by Police.

Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid Driver’s Licence.
Bruce Burke has been remanded into custody and will next appear at Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.
