St. Paul RCMP investigate theft of vehicle with firearms inside

This afternoon at approximately 1:00 p.m., a tip was received from the public and the truck was recovered abandoned in Bonnyville by RCMP.  One of the firearms has also been recovered and police continue to investigate.

Police thank the public for quickly providing the tip on the whereabouts of this stolen vehicle.

Background

This morning at approximately 8:00 a.m.,  St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of a truck being stolen on 48th Avenue in St. Paul. The theft occurred sometime between 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. this morning.

Further investigation revealed the truck has two unloaded firearms inside.

The truck is described as:

  • Red Ford F250
  • Custom made slip tank in back
  • Silver tool box in back
  • Black rims
  • Please be advised the Alberta Licence plate on the stolen vehicle is  BZK 7111

  •  the truck may also have a window that is broken

St. Paul RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating this stolen vehicle. Police are asking the public not to approach the vehicle if located and to call police immediately.
