ENDHS hosts a Free Community Clothing Drive

École Notre Dame High School (ENDHS) is hosting a free community clothing drive and asking for donations of any gently used clothing donations. The donations will be sorted and put on display at the St. Louis Hall for Thursday’s giveaway.
Siobhan Winterhalt explains, “anybody who is in need can come and take whatever items they need.” Items include clothing, towels, baby clothing & accessories. “We have one mom who is donating a lot of baby items. So if someone is in need of baby items, they can come and pick it up.”
The free garage sale is possible thanks to donations from the public, “mostly clothing, but you can bring blankets, towels and mostly-new hygiene items. Let’s be honest, we all have that one random bathset at Christmas that we don’t use, someone else could use it.”
The kids at ENDHS, Dr. Brosseau Middle School and the Outreach School are working together on the initiative, as part of THINKfast, says Winterhalt. “This is in conjunction with out THINKfast retreat, where students fast for 24 hours. We raise money for development and peace. Our retreat theme is clothing people with dignity.”
“We see a need in our community and the school is trying to do much-more tangible social work, right here in our community.”
If you have items to donate, you can drop them off at ENDHS before Thursday at 3:00 pm. The free garage sale is free to everyone, first come, first serve. Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
