On February 20th, at 7:30 pm, there was an altercation at Kokums House, Cold Lake. The incident occurred outside the residence.
A male was seriously injured after being assaulted and had to be transported to Edmonton. The man remains at an Edmonton hospital as he recovers from the assault.
As a result of the assault, 31 year old, Preston McCarthy, of Bonnyville. has been charged with one count of aggravated assault. He is next in court on March 28th at 10:00 am.
