Man Charged after being found Passed Out in Drive-thru

On February 27th, at 1:20 am, RCMP received a call from Tim Hortons in Cold Lake south. A customer and an employee both called to report  that there was a male laying in the drive-thru. It is reported that the male was lying inside a garbage bag and refusing to leave.

RCMP attended and arrested the individual. Arrested & charged is 56 year old Steven Billette. Billette has been charged with causing a disturbance.

He appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was released with conditions. One of those conditions is Billette, who is from Cold Lake First Nations, is not permitted to appear in the city of Cold Lake, unless he is in the city for court appearances or for the purposes of seeking legal advice or a medical appointment. He is next in court on March 14th.
