Male Arrested after Refusing to Leave Hotel Bathroom
On February 26th, at 6:30 am, the Cold Lake RCMP received a call from the Ramada. It was reported that there was a male in the hotel lobby washroom and he was refusing to leave. The male had been in the washroom for over two hours and the hotel staff requested RCMP assistance to remove him from the building.
RCMP attended and arrested a 32 year old man, from Edmonton. During the arrest, crystal methamphetamine was found in his possession.
The male was held in custody for court on February 28th. The man was charged with mischief, preventing the lawful use of property and possession of crystal meth.
The man has pled guilty to the mischief charge and received a $200 fine. The possession of meth charge is still outstanding. He will appear next in court on March 21st.
