Kitscoty RCMP arrest four after armed robbery
On Jan. 16, 2018 at approximately 4:15 p.m., Kitscoty RCMP responded to an armed robbery from a liquor store in Marwayne, Alberta.
Three suspects entered the store in disguise and stole a cash register containing an undisclosed amount of money and several bottles of liquor. One of the suspects brandished a firearm during this incident. A separate victim who was outside after the robbery also had the firearm pointed at them. The suspects then fled the area in a waiting vehicle. No one was harmed.
Several RCMP detachments in the surrounding area proceeded to set up road blocks when shortly after the robbery the vehicle was located abandoned on a dead end road. Kitscoty RCMP along with Vermilion RCMP members and Police Dog Services (PDS) proceeded to search the area. A short time later three suspects were tracked and arrested without incident. A fourth suspect was located the following morning.
The following have been charged with Criminal Code offences in relation to this incident:
- Fabian Spencer Littlewolfe, 27-years-old, Armed Robbery, Disguise with intent, Pointing a firearm, Breach of Probation (x3), Breach of Firearms Prohibition
- Darian Jordan Meesto, 24-years-old, Armed Robbery, Disguise with intent, Pointing a firearm, Breach of Undertaking
- Blake Evan Dillon, 23-years-old, Armed Robbery, Disguise with intent, Pointing a firearm, Breach of Recognizance
- Fraser Kain Littlewolfe, 27-years-old, Armed Robbery, Disguise with intent, Pointing a firearm, Breach of Firearms Prohibition, Breach of Probation
The four accused who are from Onion Lake, Saskatchewan were remanded into custody and will be appearing in Vermilion Provincial Court on Feb. 5, 2018.
“This investigation was resolved quickly and 20 charges have now been laid,” says Sergeant Juan Huss, Kitscoty Detachment Commander. “The collaboration of surrounding detachments has brought this incident before the courts and thankfully no one was harmed.”
As this matter is now before the courts, no further information will be provided
