Man arrested following bar fight

On December 24th, at approximately 2:00 am, Cold Lake RCMP were dispatched to a fight inside the PourHouse, on 8th Avenue in Cold Lake North. Cold Lake EMS were also dispatched and staging for RCMP to arrive.

During this time, there were reports that another fight was breaking out inside the bar, explains Staff Sergaent Jeremie Landry, of the Cold Lake Detachment. “RCMP attending, there was an alleged report of a knife being involved,” RCMP arrested a 25 year old male, from Cold Lake, confirms S/Sgt. Landry, “Charges are pending in relation to that incident. We are reviewing footage, from inside the bar, to see which charges are most appropriate.”

RCMP are also reviewing statements from the patrons of the bar. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302. The name of the male arrested has not been disclosed due to charges not being sworn in at the time of this publication.
