Santa’s Elves Program needs your help!
Bonnyville Centralized High School (BCHS) & Knights of Columbus are calling on you! Their annual Santa’s Elves program is not as stocked as they would’ve hoped. The program collects unwrapped gifts for boys & girls who may otherwise not receive presents during the holiday season. Typically, over 250 families are helped in the program.
This year the program has seen a drastic drop in the number of donation and is calling on you to help Santa ensure all the kids in the Bonnyville area receive a gift. The program gives presents for kids of all ages, but are particularly request teen gifts. If you are unsure what to purchase, you can also make a cash donation and the BCHS Elves will do the shopping for you.
At Ducharme Motors, the company is doubling the donations made through the dealership. BCHS is urging the public to drop off the unwrapped gifts or monetary donations at Ducharmes so that they donations double in size.
BCHS then collects all the gifts and holds a big “wrapping party”, where Santa’s Elves get together and sort & wrap all the presents. The Knights of Columbus take in applications for families in need and handle the distribution of the gifts. Because of the way Christmas falls this year, on a weekend, the gifts and donations must be into Ducharme Motors or any of the other drop off locations by December 7th, to get to the wrapping party on time.
With lower than expected donations, BCHS Santa’s Elves fear that some of the good boys & girls may not have a gift under the tree this year. Please help if you can.
