Intoxicated male causes disturbance in downtown Cold Lake
The Cold Lake RCMP received a call of an intoxicated male, outside TD Canada Trust, downtown Cold Lake. The caller was inside the bank and didn’t want to leave. She was reporting that a male, intoxicated in his 50’s was harassing her and she was afraid to leave the bank.
RCMP attended and arrested a 57 year old male, who was intoxicated. He was aggressive with police during the arrest process. It was determined the male had arrest warrants from High Level and Edmonton. The warrant from High Level is what RCMP refer to as a Form 21, pay or stay. He served the time in cells for that warrant. Those types of warrants are issued when people have not paid fines, the male chose to serve time, at the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment, rather than pay the fine.
The warrant out of Edmonton was not known. He issued with a ticket for being intoxicated in a public place and issued with a promise to appear in relation to his warrant out of Edmonton.
