Cold Lake man charged following the discovery of small grow op
On November 8th, the Cold Lake RCMP were investigating a file involving the production of cannabis marijuana and executed a search warrant at a residence in Cold Lake north. “As a result of that search warrant, we seized cannabis marijuana plants, that were being grown inside a residence,” S/Sgt Jeremie Landry confirms five plants were found.
Arrested was 52 year old, Christopher Loeffelmann, who has been charged with the production of cannabis marijuana. “In addition, during the arrest, he assaulted two police officers,” S/Sgt Landry confirms the accused has been charged with four counts of resisting arrest, “following the assaults, additional police officers arrived and he continued to resist arrest.” Also located in the residence was equipment used in the production of cannabis marijuana; including lights and soil.
Loeffelmann appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a recognizance to attend court on November 22nd, at 10:00 in Cold Lake.
