Cold Lake RCMP are looking for information regarding a theft a the Cold Lake Post Office. The Post Office was broken into on October 9th, between 5:00 pm & 9:00 pm. The suspect(s) broke into approximately 15 mail boxes. Constable Alex Theibault says along with information on the crime, RCMP would like to warn the public to possible fraud.
“The people who were broken into, can come and report it at the station,” Cst. Theibault advises any victims to take necessary precautions, “bring any information on [mail] that they know was stolen.” The suspect(s) could use name, addresses and information in the mail for fraudulent purposes.
The RCMP also advises any victims to contact the Canadian Anti-fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 or online at antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment at 780-594-3302.
