Wanted Cold Lake Man arrested + charged with 32 Offenses

On Sept. 25, 2017 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Bonnyville RCMP were alerted by the Cold Lake RCMP of a stolen vehicle that maybe heading into the Bonnyville area.

 

Bonnyville RCMP located the vehicle matching that description that was provided near the intersection of Township 613 and Range Road 452 in Fort Kent. Police initiated a traffic stop with the truck but it fled from police. After a short period of time the truck appeared to run out of fuel and two occupants jumped out and fled on foot. A male and female were arrested without incident.

 

The male was identified as Tarron Grandbois, who was wanted on several warrants in relation to four separate break and enter and thefts that were reported in Bonnyville and La Corey between Aug. 30, 2017 and Sept. 16, 2017.

 

Tarron Grandbois, a 20-year old from Cold Lake was charged with 32 Criminal Code offences which include:

 

• Operation of a motor vehicle while being pursued
• Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Possession of a firearm without being the holder of a license
• Possession of a prohibited firearm
• Possession of stolen property over $5000
• Mischief (X2)
• Driving while prohibited (X3)
• Break and Enter (X3)
• Theft (X3)
• Theft of a motor vehicle (X4)
• Failing to comply with a Recognizance (X11)

 

He was remanded into custody and will be appearing via CCTV in Bonnyville Provincial Court on Oct. 3, 2017.

 

The 17-year-old female from Cold Lake whose name cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with four Criminal Code offences which include:

 

• Possession of a prohibited firearm
• Possession of a firearm without a license
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Possession of stolen property over $5000

 

She was released on a recognizance with court conditions and will be appearing in Bonnyville Provincial Court on Oct. 3, 2017.

As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be provided.
