Stolen School Bus Recovered in Beaver Lake
A school bus that was stolen, Sunday evening, near Franchere Bay, was recovered Monday morning in Beaver Lake Cree Nation. Three individuals have been arrested in relation to the crime, confirms Bonnyville RCMP Sgt. Sarah Parke.
Sgt. Parke explains that the RCMP in Lac La Biche recovered the stolen bus, “It was recovered on the Beaver Lake Cree Nation. They have three people in custody They apparently went for a pretty good joy ride with it last night and this morning.”
Names of the suspects cannot be released as formal charges have yet to be sworn. The Lac La Biche RCMP have arrested a 22 year old male, a 19 year old female and a 17 year old female.
The bus is immobile and was stuck when the RCMP located it. It has been moved to a secure compound, where damages will be assessed.
