RCMP looking for Pedestrian hit by Vehicle
The Cold Lake RCMP are interested in hearing from a victim of a pedestrian versus car incident. On September 1st, just after 12:00 pm, RCMP were called to 50th Avenue and 50th Street. A pedestrian was struck at the three-way stop.
“The RCMP attended and the pedestrian that had been struck, left the scene,” S/Sgt. Jeremie Landry with the Cold Lake Detachment explains that because the pedestrian left the scene the police do not know who he is. There was a motor vehicle collision provided; but because there is no pedestrian complainant there were no tickets issued.
“There was a warning given for watching for pedestrians at intersections,” S/Sgt. Landry says even if not injured you should always stay at the scene if you are involved in a pedestrian versus car incident. “From speaking to witnesses, it appears that he was not injured. It appears he was struck and landed on the hood. There were some exchanges in the way of words and gestures and then the pedestrian walked away.”
If you were the pedestrian or have information regarding this incident, the Cold Lake RCMP would like to hear from you; 780-594-3302.
