Royals run out of gas
The Cold Lake Senior Royals had another great game on Friday. They had a strong battle against Holy Rosary. It was a tough break in the fourth quarter. The boys were worn down, and couldn’t power through for a win. Ultimately, they fell 33-22 win the clock struck 0.0. The Royals will play the Lloydminster Barons at home on Friday.
“We competed real hard. We had a lead for a part of the game, but same as last week. We ran out of gas in the fourth quarter. They scored a couple late touchdowns on us… We just need to make sure the boys are a little more prepared.” Coach Kelly Jonhson explains.
Bantams concede
The Bantam Ravens did not play their game this weekend. Due to a lack of lineman, they conceded this week’s match against Bonnyville.
Rams continue progressing
The Peewee Rams continued to grow. In their weekend match they lost 44-7. Players are continuing to grow, and some who started the year on the bench are taking active starting roles. It’s great progress in the eyes of Kelly Johnson.
“They’re learning. Kids are happy, and learning stuff. They’re feeling good in their positions…” Coach Kelly Johnson says.
