Glendon Ag Society gifts Arena water filling station

The Glendon Agricultural Society is pleased to announce its successful application for  the Canada Post Community Foundation. The support from the Canada Post Community Foundation is for the procurement of a water bottle filling station/fountain at the Glendon Arena.

Our arena is home to Glendon Minor Hockey, Lady Jaguars, Glendon Old Timers, Glendon Skating Club and the Glendon Jets. We also provide free public skating and P.E. partnerships with the local K-12 School. Our arena is booked with our local clubs every day of the week from the beginning of October (when ice is in) to March 30 (when ice goes out). Additional bookings from outside communities, like Bonnyville and St. Paul Minor Hockey also contribute to arena activity. This fountain is a great addition to our arena and will encourage all athletes to “fill-up” and stay hydrated.

The Canada Post Community Foundation for Children’s vision is to help ensure every child in Canada is happy, healthy and part of a community that supports and cares for them. Its mission is to have a positive effect in the lives of children in the communities Canada Post serves by supporting registered charities, school programs or local initiatives that benefit children. It has granted more than $6 million to over 500 community organizations across Canada. To learn more about the Foundation, visit canadapost.ca/community.

Thank you Canada Post Community Foundation!
