On August 8th, at approximately 11:35 am, Cold Lake RCMP responded to a fraud call.
Jeremie Landry, Staff Sargeant of the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment explains, “a 23 year old female went to the Money Mart and attempted to cash cheques. A Money Mart employee got suspicious and called the owner of the cheques. Who at that point determined his vehicle had been broken into the night before and his cheque book had been stolen.”
RCMP attended right away and located the suspect and arrested a 23 year old female from Cold Lake. Charges are pending against her for fraud.
