Hockey season continues to get closer. The St. Paul Jr. B Canadiens have not only released their Main Camp dates, but also an exhibition schedule. The team will be headed up to Fort St. John for their pre-season exhibition schedule in late September.

Main Camp the start of big things

St. Paul Canadiens Main Camp will run in Mid-September. The dates are as below:

Sep. 15 – 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Sep. 16 – 6:30 – 8 p.m.

For more information on the camp, stay tuned to the St. Paul Jr. B Canadiens Facebook Page.

St. Paul finished the season in second place in the NEAJBHL last season. They made it to the NEAJBHL Finals, and were swept by the Wainwright Bisons before hosting provincials. Head Coach Joe Young is expecting a competitive camp, and a strong group of returning veterans for the upcoming season.\

Coach Joe Young mans the bench pre-game during the NEAJBHL finals.

“After the success we have had the last couple years, we are looking to build off that. Obviously getting to the final last year was a big stepping stone for us. The guys that are coming back have to be our veterans. Ultimately the goal is to win. Going so far last year, and getting that close. I think the fire is going to be burning a bit more.” Coach Young says.

Up to Fort St. John

The Canadiens will have their exhibition roster set in time to go up to Fort St. John for a three game set. St. Paul will play in B.C the 22nd-24th of September. As Coach Young is expecting this to be a big year for the team, the games in B.C. don’t come as a shock. The Fort St. John Huskies were tapped as 2018 Jr. B Provincials Hosts during the 2017 Jr. B Provincials in St. Paul. Provincials will be held the weekend after all league playoffs are completed.
