Toby Keith in Cold Lake

Country Mega Star brings Interstates & Tailgates to Imperial Oil Place.

Country singer Toby Keith performed at the Imperial Oil Place at the Cold Lake Energy Centre on July 14. Opening for him was the Canadian singer-songwriter from Cremona, Alberta, Blake Reid.  Keith brought with him some southern flare and of course, his red solo cup.

The cup almost never left the Oklahoma born singer’s hand as he raised it to the crowd often throughout the night. It all came together when the singer belted out the party anthem paying tribute the plastic goblet, Red Solo Cup.

After the concert, there was an after-party held at the Reid Field House in the Energy Centre. Ford, who is a sponsor of the Interstates & Tailgates Tour, had three pick-up trucks lining the entrance way to the Energy Centre. Behind the Energy Centre, there were four semi-trailer trucks for hauling gear, and numerous tour buses and RVs.

Toby Keith is known for his songs, How Do You Like Me Now?, Should’ve Been a Cowboy, and You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This.  Mary Green, a staff member from the Energy Centre said approximately 1500 tickets were sold for the event.
