WOW Welcomes the Men

Wisdom & Opportunities for Women  All!

The female oriented networking group, WOW (Wisdom & Opportunities for Women) is opening its final networking session to the men. WOW member, Kathryn Hotte, says the men play a huge part in a woman’s success and the groups hopes to recognize this on June 21st.

“The men are really a big supporter of who we are and what we do on a regular basis,” whether you’re single, married, or in between, Hotte says there’s no doubt that the majority female has had support from a man at some point in her career. Even the most independent. “For a lot of women, without their [partners] they couldn’t do what they do.” Hotte refers back to her husband, Richard, explaining it’s as small as the everyday tasks, “there’s some nights when there’s no way I’m cooking. So he’ll do burgers or make something. It’s not that woman have to cook.” Hotte says it’s nice to recognize that the men are there to support us.

The keynote speaker at the event is Lakeland Connect owner, Jena Colbourne. The topic of the evening is “Juggling House & Home”. As a mother of five, wife to HusbandChad and entrepreneur Colbourne, is well-versed in the complexity of finding  balance between all the expectations of raising a family and growing a business.

“We’re not going to do it every time, but we thought at least once a year, let’s open it up to the guys and welcome them in.” Tickets to the event can be purchased by calling the Rural Alberta Business Centre, 780-594-1090.
