Canada 150 Project Needs Your Photos
Bonnyville is looking for community members to help fill mosaic.
An open call to the public has been made by the Bonnyville Friendship Centre to submit photos that’ll become a part of the Canada 150 project. The Friendship Centre, in partnership with the Town of Bonnyville, the Municipal District of Bonnyville, and the Government of Canada is building a mosaic of the community.
“We are creating a mosaic mural and need hundreds of photos of community members, architecture, landscape, landmarks, culture and events,” explains Lauri Fitzpatrick, project lead and Executive Director of the Bonnyville Friendship Centre.
The idea is that the public submits photos of themselves or of non-profit groups, community outtings, and/or significant community events. Those photos will be compiled to make a mosaic of the Canada 150 emblem. The mosaic will be displayed for years to come in the Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre.
The public can submit their photos via email, l.fitzpatrick@bfriendship.ca or if you have physical photos that need to be scanned you can stop by the Friendship Centre and they will assist you with that.
The Deadline for Submission is Friday.
