Spring Camp

The Cold Lake Ice hosted a spring camp that got kids from Peewee level to Junior level out on the ice for two weeks of conditioning. The camp ran from April 17 – April 27 at Imperial Oil Place.

Building a sense of community

“This was about building a relationship with minor hockey in the area.” says Cold Lake Ice Head Coach, Scott Hood.

There were two on ice sessions every night of the camp. Peewee and Bantam hit the ice together, as did Midget and Junior. The sessions ran for about an hour and fifteen minutes.

“You could see the smile on the kids faces tonight when they were dressing in the Ice locker room.” Hood says about the final night of the camp.

Hood hopes that this relationship building translates to a strong interest in the fall. The Cold Lake Ice will have the summer to get prepared for next year.
