Ben Fadeyiw Announces Intent to Run for MD Council
Municipal Election will be held October 16th for the Municipal District of Bonnyville.
Submitted & Written by: Ben Fadeyiw
The seat is currently held by Fred Bamber, who is not seeking re-election when his second term ends this year. He has held the seat for the ward 6 district since 2010. Fred and I have spoken a number of occasions and I am happy to say he supports my intention to pursue Ward 6 council.
In 1978 I moved to Bonnyville with my parents. In 1988 Leila and I moved to Edmonton for school and work. When our family started to grow we moved back to the Md of Bonnyville area near Cold Lake. A year later we purchased a home in the city of Cold Lake with two kids in hand. We recently moved to the Cherry Grove area last fall and are enjoying acreage life.
I am happily married to my wife Leila of 26 years and have a two great kids 11 and 13 that attend school in Cold Lake.
We started our Budget Blinds business in 2009 and completed our showroom 4 years later in downtown Cold Lake. We love serving our clients in the Lakeland area.
I like to think of myself as a community servant, having been on the board of directors at the Regional Cold Lake Chamber of Commerce since 2012 in an effort to make positive change.
My vision is to work with other leaders, community members and agencies to bring the MD of Bonnyville together so that the effects of the MD are felt and visible throughout every corner and across the Lakeland.
Sincerely Ben
