Two Women & One Man Charged following Home Invasion
Lac La Biche RCMP say no one was injured in invasion
On March 7, 2017 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Lac La Biche RCMP responded to a home invasion at a residence near Highway 36. Three suspects attended the residence and it is alleged that window was broken and entrance was gained inside. One suspect had a firearm and threatened the victim and another occupant. The suspects then fled in a vehicle before police arrived. No one was injured.
One female suspect was arrested a short time later without incident. The other two suspects, a male and female, were arrested later the same day.
Marcy Yvonne Ballantyne, a 32-year-old female, Waylon Dennis Ballantyne, a 22-year-old male, and Suzie Amanda Cardinal, a 36-year-old female all from Lac La Biche, have been charged with:
- Break and enter
- Uttering threats
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Marcy Yvonne Ballantyne was released on a Recognizance with court imposed conditions and will appear in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on March 20, 2017.
Waylon Dennis Ballantyne and Suzie Amanda Cardinal did not speak to bail and were remanded into custody and will appear in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on March 13, 2017.
As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be made available.
