Council participates in annual Pink Day

February 20 – 24 has been declared Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) week by the Town of Elk Point. This week incorporates national Pink Day on February 22, when residents and businesses are encouraged to wear pink, just as town councilors did at their February 13 meeting, encouraged by members of F.G. Miller school’s PUP group.

During RAK week, PUP will be holding events at the school, as well as engaging in their own random acts of kindness around town .

The public is asked to submit photos of students or community members wearing pink or doing a good deed to Sherry_Bower@sperd.ca to be posted on the school’s website.

Although kindness is part of many people’s daily routine, sometimes a little reminder helps it to spread.
