New Doctor!

Elk Point is looking forward to a third doctor.

Dr Majeed is currently doing a three month assessment in St. Paul, and should be practicing in Elk Point by April.

Waterline replacement

Nickoforik Construction Ltd will replace an existing cast iron waterline with new pvc pipe in Ravine Drive, Circle Drive, 52 Street and 52 Avenue. Most of the work will be done without disruption, except for residential services and the north west corner of Circle Drive, where trenching will occur. The pipe replacement is needed due to soil eroding the cast iron line.

For safety’s sake, remove the snow

It is your responsibility to remove snow from public sidewalks in front of your business and residence to ensure safety for all pedestrians. Towns have the authority to fine property owners, or to charge them when snow is removed by public works employees. Keep walking paths safe for all.

Wear Pink for Random Acts of Kindness (RAK)

Turn Elk Point Pink!

The Town of Elk Point has agreed to proclaim February 20-24 as Random Acts of Kindness Week, and the PUP group of FG Miller Jr/Sr High School is planning activities and challenges for students, staff, and the whole community to find ways to be kind.

February 22 is PINK shirt day.  Individuals and businesses are encouraged to get creative and stylize their own PINK shirts. Elk Point has already tinted its website pink in support kindness!
