From my Family to yours I want to extend a Very Merry Christmas! 

I want to send the warmest wishes of comfort and joy for a simply wonderful Holiday Season.  Celebrate the beauty and hope the season offers, and carry those thoughts into an amazing 2017.

For a little bit of fun for the holiday season I have submitted a poem that is meant to liven up your day.  It was read in the house by my colleague Wildrose MLA Todd Loewen as a member statement.  As you can see he did a really good job.  So good of a job I would like to share his hard work with everyone in our riding.

Twas weeks before Christmas and all through the land.

The NDP were passing legislation, getting way out of hand.

The dippers were all proud, of their world saving Bills

But Wildrose was worried about the jobs they’d kill.

 

They meddled with Oil sands by installing a ceiling

Our fragile economy it will be left a reeling

They couldn’t resist twisting the Electricity act

They had no good excuses, so they made up the facts

 

That messing with something you know nothing about

Can leave Albertans and investors with nothing but doubt.

Not to mention the costs that surely will rise

Proven by an electricity price cap twice original size

 

Now phasing out coal has Santa upset.

Naughty children rejoicing you surely can bet.

Now these young’uns who have been misbehavin’.

When they hear of no coal they’ll surely be ravin.

 

The joy they feel will have them hopping

But renewable options will be reindeer droppings.

Now the reindeer had heard what the caribou plan did

Many forestry and other jobs it surely will rid

 

The millions of dollars they have spent on their cousins

And killing hundreds of wolves just to save the few dozen.

Now there were some things upon which we could agree

Ukrainian Day, Economy, Health, Fires, ABC’s.

 

Now the Elves are feeling all smug of course

As minimum wage the NDP did endorse

But Bill 6 was tough for Santa’s Reindeer farm.

Cuz it will cost him a leg and an arm.

 

Elections financing act or Re-elect the Government Law

Has opposition parties feeling like they’ve been rubbed raw.

9 Million bucks wasted to sell carbon tax spent

So no one was surprised they were found in contempt

 

Now a big part of the problem is the people they’ve hired

History of anti-oil activism should have them fired.

So in order to bring sanity to this great place

We need to solve the problems right from the base

 

So off Premier off Ministers off backbenchers too

Good bye radicals like Tzeporah, Karen, and Topps BC crew

You’re no help to Albertans because of the things you do

Pipelines might be built but no thanks to you.

 

Again have a very holiday season and a happy New Year.
