Cold Lake RCMP are currently investigating an incident that occurred on the evening of November 28th, 2016 at approximately 11 P.M. on Highway 55 West near Cold Lake. At that time, a large, newer model red SUV attempted to stop a vehicle using what appeared to be makeshift police emergency lights. No interaction with the driver was made at the time.
Cold Lake RCMP are requesting the assistance of the public to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident please contact Cold Lake RCMP Detachment at (780) 594-3302, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222 TIPS (8477), or visit the website at www.crimestoppers.ab.ca/
Police are also asking that members of the public remain vigilant and to call 911 immediately if they have reason to believe an individual may be impersonating a peace officer.
