101 Restaurant Make Monday Dining Even More…Mondayish
Monday evening is a great time to have supper out and celebrate making it through Monday! But many of the area restaurants close on Mondays so the choice is limited.
I have been looking forward to checking out the Canadian Chinese food in the area. I worked in an excellent Canadian Chinese restaurant for years and enjoy many of the dishes.
As we entered there were 2 other tables of diners. As we ate 7 more tables came in to dine. Jan decided to have the buffet. We came at 6:15. The buffet was fairly empty. He ended up putting his fried rice into the hot and sour soup to soften the rice as it was dried out. He tried the barbequed meat balls and the fried fish which were mediocre. There was only a few greens on the buffet.
I ordered the egg foo yung, one of my favorite dishes. It came out piping hot with the sauce on the side. The foo yung had a nice amount of chicken but few vegetables.
Service was prompt, but most customers were eating buffet so the servers were only getting drinks and clearing dishes.
The restaurant is clean and brightly lit. The clientele was varied with families and couples out for the evening.
Atmosphere 3.5 out of 5
Service 3.8 out of 5
Food 2.8 out of 5.
Even though dining choices are limited on Mondays, we probably will chose somewhere else.
