UFO Pizza

Donairs were out of this world!

A stop in St. Paul led us downtown to UFO Pizza. At first glance we thought it was self service but we were told to take a seat and the server brought us menus.
We had heard that the donairs here are good. I often have a donair without the pita. Eating gluten free in a small pizzeria can be difficult but when I explained what I wanted I was told about their donair salad. It turned out to be fabulous. And a huge serving which I could not finish. I enjoyed the homemade tziaki sauce which was the dressing for the salad however, a less dense version would have been better.

Jan tried the regular donair. He too was impressed with the size of the serving. The donair was impressive and his only complaint was that it was messy but that’s the fun part about a donair. He was also impressed with the homemade gravy, very flavorful.
The restaurant was very clean, staff very friendly and we loved the décor. The kitchen was open to the front end and I always like to be able to see behind the scenes. This is a busy little place and we enjoyed our stop there.
