Loud Party Leads to the Arrests of Two Men
Both males were to abstain from alcohol
In September 30th, around 11:00 pm, the Cold Lake RCMP received a 911 complaint of a loud party on 8th avenue. “It was alleged that people were partying. There was loud banging and throwing items around; including beer cans off the balcony,” says S/Sgt Jeremie Landry of the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment.
RCMP attended and arrested two males from Cold Lake after it was discovered both of the males were on conditions not to be consuming alcohol, following an incident at Straightline Towing from four days prior. Both males were under conditions following a break and enter at Straightline Towing in Cold Lake that lead to charges of break and enter, mischief, as well as possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offense and possessing break-in instruments.
The first male, a 24 year old, was charged with filing to comply with a condition of an undertaking to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. “He was subsequently released on a promise to appear at court on November 9th at 10:00 am in Cold Lake,” explains S/Sgt Landry.
The second male, 20 year old, was charged with failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. “He was released for the same court date, November 9th at 10:00 am in Cold Lake,” confirms S/Sgt Landry.
Information has yet to be sworn, thus neither males’ identities could be released by the RCMP.
