Bonnyville getting a new park
The Town of Bonnyville is developing a new park & playground in the newly developed area of Beau Vista Blvd. Mayor of Bonnyville, Gene Sobolewski says the area is growing fast with new families and it seemed fitting to add a playground in the area.
“We’re working with the developer,” Mayor Sobolewski says the developer approached the Town with the idea and asked for land and funds to help build the area. The Town voted to approve the project early last week. “We’re going to build a park on the south-end of the subdivision. Because of the success we had with other parks, and the newness of the area, we thought it was a great idea and the Town jumped right on board with the developer.”
The park should be for kids to play in mid-summer 2017, Mayor Sobolewski says to expect the park equipment to be around the same size as the structures at Pontiac park.
