Attention Pokémon Trainers: be careful in construction

Last Updated: August 5, 2016By Tags: , ,

Aspiring Pokémon Trainers are advised to be aware of construction areas in the City of Cold Lake.

With the popularity of the new Pokémon Go mobile game, players have been seen wandering around the city, attempting to catch all available Pokémon.

The game identifies various landmarks and buildings as PokéStops – a place to check in and gain items – and Pokémon Gyms – a place where trainers can virtually battle it out and stake their claim with their strongest Pokémon.

However, some of these Stops and Gyms have recently fallen into construction, and players are asked to be aware of their surroundings when trying to access these areas. Players are also reminded to not park in designated parking areas around the Cold Lake Fire-Rescue Stations. Both the North and Downtown stations are active, and emergency vehicles may be coming or going at any time. This includes the back dirt alleyway at the North Fire Station.

In order to become the very best, Pokémon Trainers are advised to be safe, and obey all posted signs in these areas.
