Lionel Cory Steinhauer (32) was apprehended by the Maskwacis RCMP early Wednesday morning following an investigation into several recent altercations in the Samson / Montana First Nations areas.
The attempted murder allegations out of St. Paul stem from a comprehensive investigation into the June 30th near-fatal shooting of a 35 year old St. Paul man. The joint effort included RCMP members out of St. Paul, Edmonton, Calgary, Maskwacis, and Ontario.
Steinhauer remains in police custody to appear before a provincial justice of the peace. He will answer to his outstanding warrants, and new charges related to his arrest in Maskwacis.
