Olds Man Arrested for Uttering Threats

On July 2nd, 2016 at approximately 11:00 PM, the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment received a complaint from a female resident of Bonnyville reporting that her boyfriend was on his way to her home with firearms and planned to kill her.  Police attended the residence to ensure the safety of the victim while other officers attempted to locate her boyfriend.

The victim provided a statement reporting that her ex boyfriend wanted her to meet him even though he was wanted by Olds RCMP for domestic violence against her.  When the victim refused to meet her ex boyfriend he threatened to kill her and her family.  The victim believed that her ex boyfriend would do this after he beat her unconscious in Olds, AB and she knew that he had prohibited firearms in his possession.

Several RCMP Detachments assisted Bonnyville RCMP to look for the male who was ultimately arrested by Edmonton Police Service and remanded into custody facing 2 charges from Bonnyville RCMP for Uttering Threats.
